A freestanding soy candle is a classic and timeless form of decorative candle, handmade from natural soy wax. Thanks to its simple, universal shape, it works perfectly as a decorative element in the living room, bedroom, dining room, or bathroom.

The minimalist look of the candle makes it easy to match different interior styles – from modern and Scandinavian to classic arrangements. It can be used on its own or as part of a larger decoration, e.g., in a set with other candles.

Natural soy wax ensures a clean and even burn and is a more eco-friendly alternative to traditional paraffin candles. Handmade, each candle is unique and finished in detail.

A freestanding soy candle is a simple addition that brings warmth, tranquility, and a cozy atmosphere to the interior.

The burning time of the candle may be shorter than in the case of candles poured in glass. This is because the wax does not collect evenly, as it does in candles in glass containers.

HOW TO BURN A SOY CANDLE

1. Preparation before lighting:

  • Trim the wick to about 5 mm before each use to prevent excessive smoking and ensure even burning.

2. First burn:

  • Allow the candle to burn for at least 2 hours so that the wax melts evenly from edge to edge, which will prevent tunneling.

3. While burning:

  • Do not burn the candle for more than 3-4 hours at a time to avoid overheating the container and uncontrolled wax burning.
  • Place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from flammable materials.
  • Do not leave the candle unattended.
  • Do not move a lit candle – the glass container may become hot and cause burns.
  • If the candle starts to smoke, trim the wick to 5 mm.

4. After burning:

  • Extinguishing: Use a special snuffer to extinguish the flame or gently cover it, avoiding blowing it out abruptly, which can spread hot wax.
  • Do not burn the candle to the very end – leave at least 1 cm of wax at the bottom to avoid the risk of glass cracking.

5. Storage:

  • After burning, ventilate the room.

Store the candle in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.

HOW LONG DOES A SOY WAX CANDLE BURN?

Burn time depends on the size – our jar candles burn for an average of 25 to 50 hours. Pillar candles have a shorter burn time.
